Mousa Broch

Mousa Broch is the tallest and best-preserved Iron Age broch in Scotland, dating back around 2,000 years. These round stone towers are unique to Scotland and were likely used for defence and as status symbols.

Step inside this incredible structure and climb narrow spiral staircases for a sense of ancient engineering. The broch sits on a small island, offering stunning views of the surrounding sea and wildlife.

The Mousa Boat

The Mousa Boat provides sailings and tours; a Daytime Island Trip and a Late Evening Storm Petrel Trip, or if you prefer something more leisurely, we also run fascinating Short Cruises around the local waters. Whichever sailing you choose, and many do both trips, please don’t leave it to the last day of your visit to Shetland, as all sailings are weather dependent, and we know you wouldn’t want to miss the experience of visiting Mousa.
